Typical Uses for Software Integrated with the Franchise Intranet.

Typical uses for an integrated software solution!

LavaBlast does custom software development according to your needs. We could develop these modules to run on independant workstations but we’ve already got the infrastructure ready to support their integration, why shouldn't you benefit fromt his?  We’re always interested in tackling fresh problems, regardless of the industry. Here are some ideas which we would be interested in developing for your business.

  • An interactive kiosk that takes a picture of you before and after your visit to the hair dresser or beauty salon. Show off your makeover to all your friends via a rich online community integrated with social networks sites such as Facebook, Flickr, or Friendster.
  • Software to help with the creation of a fingerprint kit and child pictures to be delivered to the police in case a child is kidnapped. Given the sensitive nature of this work, the information would probably be given to the parent and any copies held by the franchisor would be destroyed at the end of the day.
  • A wedding gift registry kiosk where the couple makes a list either in a store using the touchscreen and barcode scanner or online using the shopping cart mechanism. Friends and relatives are informed via a small online community and purchases are tracked directly in the point of sale.
  • A product information kiosk which scans a barcode and shows detailed product information or usage guides, in multiple languages. The same information could be used in an online e-commerce setting.
  • A kiosk which tracks employee timesheets via fingerprint scanning. This is especially interesting in the context of our point of sale software.
  • An online community of independent dealers which all sell items from the same manufacturer/supplier. When the elements are of costly and require complex installation procedures, problems can often be resolved by peers. Independent resellers help each other based on the guidance of the manufacturer on a blog, forum, or wiki. Video tutorials can be featured on these collaboration tools and re-used as promotional material during tradeshows.
  • A booth in a warehouse which informs the employee where to find the products for the current order, ensures that all the requested items are found or marked as unavailable, informs he user of product unavailability, prints out packing/shipping slips, and adjusts inventory as necessary.
  • Various certificate creators to be used in industries other than the teddy bear stuffing business. Other than the logicial puppy/kitten birth certificates extension, we could create kiosks that to project the user in various interesting locations such as under the sea, next to the Eiffel tower, or even in the future.
  • Point of sale software to be used on travelling salesmen’s computers. Upon detecting internet connectivity, sale information is transferred to a central location where the orders are filled. Ordering could be automated depending on stock quantities manually entered or obtained via RFID tags located on the products.
  • A process where all customers need to register at a kiosk or with a cashier before being able to use the franchise's facilities (because they need to sign legal waivers, for example). These records would be stored in the store's database, allowing them to be easily searched or reloaded at a later date.
  • A self-serve kiosk allowing members to check-in / check-out on their own at their local health club.

Simply put, the possibilities are endless! We're here to solve your problems.
