Intermediate ASP.NET Web Developer (Gatineau/Ottawa)
We are looking for an Intermediate ASP.NET Web Developer based in Gatineau/Ottawa. LavaBlast develops an integrated software solution for small & medium franchises. We wish to grow the team to assist in productizing FranchiseBlast, our flagship franchise intranet.
We’re looking for a versatile and proactive software engineer who’s excited about producing software that facilitates a franchise’s day-to-day operations. The candidate would be involved in all phases of the software development process, from requirements analysis to software development to quality assurance.
Mandatory
The candidate must have formal education in either software engineering or computer science and must be able to present verifiable work (open source projects or client work).
Required Skills
- ASP.NET Web Forms v3.5 with C#
- Excellent knowledge of cross-browser HTML/CSS (hand-written)
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience developing data-driven websites (SQL Server)
- Versatility!
Nice to have
- Good cross-browser JavaScript skills and experience with a framework such as jQuery
- System administration (IIS, Mercurial/SVN) on a Windows server.
- Experience with ASP.NET MVC
- Experience with large-scale database administration
- Experience with cloud-computing (Azure / Amazon EC2)
- Experience with Silverlight
- Fully bilingual (English & French)
