FranchiseBlast enables small franchisors to centralize their franchise operations on the web; this integrated software solution is one of the core pillars required to bring the franchise concept to the next level.
Integrate your website, POS, kiosk and collaborate with your franchisees!
FranchiseBlast is LavaBlast Software’s core software solution and it does a lot more than your typical franchise intranet or extranet. Simply put, it is the glue which holds all of the tailor-made, industry-specific software pieces built by LavaBlast for its franchisor clients. As one of our core values is focus on ease of use, we’d like to take this opportunity to explain in layman’s terms what these abstract concepts actually mean. The easiest way to describe our solution is to work our way from the ground up, starting with individual pieces of software in the context of a case study.
In a nutshell, what’s FranchiseBlast?
FranchiseBlast is a franchise intranet that integrates all of the software your franchise uses on a daily basis.
We build franchise software: interactive kiosks, e-commerce websites with awesome web design, and easy to use point of sale software. FranchiseBlast ties these elements together by transferring data to and from a centralized management portal. Moreover, because we understand that collaboration is the key to growing a franchise offering, we’ve added software tools such as a wiki, forum, and blog into our integrated solution. We host and maintain the centralize portal, we take care of in-store software deployment & upgrades, and we handle off-site backups. This leaves you, the franchisor, the hard part: growing your franchise concept. Most franchise extranets (or intranets) are limited to document sharing and managing the franchise sales process: we focus on making your life easier. We're the only software firm you'll need.
What do franchisors do with FranchiseBlast?
What do franchisees do with FranchiseBlast?
Your solution is interesting, but can you integrate with other software?
Of course! We’re not interested in re-inventing the wheel. For example, should you already be using best of breed software for your point of sale or your accounting, we’ll integrate with it. Should you already have a website, regardless of the technology you’re using, we can create the software you need and host it on our own servers. We’ll make the experience as transparent as possible for the end user, while leveraging your legacy systems, an essential part of pulling through downturns in the economy. We’ll work with you to determine the plausible solutions to ensure you get the best return on investment. Some web development firms will flat out say that everything you’ve worked so hard on over the last years is completely useless and has to be re-implemented. We’re pragmatic by nature: we want to write the least amount of new software required to make you achieve your goals.
Why LavaBlast?
Our software will scale with your franchise. Our software is easy to use. Our software can be used within both your point of sale and your website. We're the only software firm your franchise will need and we'll be there when you need us.
The modules presented in the Teddy Mountain case study help drive home why LavaBlast is a better choice in the long term than sub-contracting work to software development firms (or even hiring programmers yourself). The integration of all the pieces of the software puzzle gives added value both to the customer and to the franchisor. Indeed, customers get an enriched experience but the franchisor saves time and effort because the whole solution is built with integration and re-use in mind.
As an example, Teddy Mountain had us build a custom-designed in-store teddy bear adoption certificate generator, which uses cool technology (touch screen and webcam). By leveraging our infrastructure, we quickly integrated this software with their point of sale and even created an online community revolving around the generated birth certificates.
We’re using state of the art web-based technology and building our software from the ground up with focus on Internet connectivity. Of course, it our software continues to be available even if no Internet connection is available as we understand how such a failure could paralyze a store. We thrive on making usable software and therefore like to keep things simple for the user, even though many technical intricacies are hidden in the background especially with regards to the scale, reliability, and security requirements of a franchise offering.
